‍ ‍ Hi — I’m Jim. A guy with a Jeep, a camera body, and a few lenses. Together we chase light, mud, and the occasional stubborn critter to capture life as I see it.

What started as a simple love of the outdoors quietly snowballed into a full-blown photography obsession. My work is about celebrating the natural world around us — rooted in my Midwestern home, but wandering wherever the road (or no roads and curiosity) takes me. I shoot wildlife and landscapes most often, but I’m just as thrilled by macro, street scenes, motorsports, and portraits. Genres are playgrounds; I keep exploring.

Wildlife photography holds a special place for me because it ties together skills I picked up along the way — from hunting, time spent in the military, patience learned the hard way — and repurposes them for something quieter.

To me it’s simple: if we share the earth’s beauty, maybe we’ll be more likely to leave it better than we found it. This isn’t a political stance; it’s a practical, human one. Let’s not make the next great capture the last one.
